Intro to E-Collar Training

Service Description

Intro to E-Collar Training is a small-group e-collar dog training class in Chicago for dogs that already have a solid foundation in on-leash obedience. Under the guidance of a Found trainer, you will learn how to thoughtfully introduce and layer the e-collar into commands your dog already understands. Handlers will learn proper collar fit and placement, how to identify an appropriate working level, clear timing, and how to combine e-collar communication with leash guidance, verbal cues, and rewards. Class exercises reinforce sit, down, place, loose-leash walking, recall, and reliable responses around distractions. The goal is not to make the e-collar the center of your training. It is to use the tool clearly and consistently so your dog understands what is being asked. This course helps build dependable obedience, stronger handler mechanics, and a foundation for greater real-world freedom. Prerequisites: 6 months of age or older, completion of one of our following training programs: 3-weeks of Daycare & Training, 2-week Bootcamp, or 6-weeks of PupStart.
