At Found Training Center, we develop the next generation of professional dog trainers through a paid, full-time apprenticeship inside an active training and rehabilitation facility. Apprentices learn alongside Found’s founders, partners, owners, and senior trainers through structured classroom instruction, daily shadowing, hands-on handling, and practical experience with real dogs and clients.
 

Training extends beyond basic obedience. Apprentices gain exposure to puppy development, board-and-train programs, behavior modification, rehabilitation, dog care and husbandry, client communication, and the day-to-day responsibilities required of a dependable professional trainer. Instruction emphasizes learning theory, canine behavior, technical handling, timing, consistency, problem-solving, and understanding the “why” behind effective training.
 

Found’s apprenticeship is part of the larger educational environment that also includes Dog Tribe Academy. Located within our Chicago canine campus, Dog Tribe Academy provides real-world professional education for aspiring and practicing trainers through classroom learning, mentorship, shadowing, technical coaching, and participation across Found Chicago, Pup Start Chicago, and the Dog Tribe training ecosystem.
 

This is not a shortcut or quick-certification experience. We are looking for candidates who are prepared to work hard, accept coaching, start with the fundamentals, and develop the professionalism, accountability, and communication skills required for a lasting career in dog training.
